Our Values

How we operate, and what we refuse.

These are the operational commitments that shape every decision we make, from how we screen applicants to how we talk about our own limitations. They are not aspirations. They are the standard we hold ourselves to and ask you to hold us to.

Values-led ceremony in intimate setting

Six things we commit to

Honesty Over Hype

We will tell you when this work is not for you.

If your health history, timing, or circumstances raise concerns, we say so directly. We do not use ambiguous language to keep you in the application funnel. A clear no is more respectful than an unclear maybe.

Safety Before Scale

Small cohorts, rigorous screening, medical staff on site.

We deliberately limit how many people sit in each ceremony. We screen with a licensed clinician before accepting anyone. We hire a registered nurse for every retreat. Growth does not override these conditions, if we cannot maintain them, we do not expand.

Care Over Conversion

We do not optimize for the funnel.

Our intake process is designed to find right-fit participants, not to move people through a sales sequence. We do not track conversion rates as a primary metric. We track participant safety, integration quality, and whether we should have said no more often.

Reciprocity Over Extraction

We give material support to the lineages that inform our work.

A percentage of program revenue goes to indigenous-led organizations working on land sovereignty, cultural continuity, and plant medicine stewardship. This is not a marketing line. We publish the recipients and amounts in our annual practices report.

Transparency Over Polish

Our pricing, screening criteria, and limitations are public.

We publish what we charge and why. We describe what conditions we screen for and what we cannot safely hold. We do not hide our medical exclusions in fine print. If we change a policy, we explain why.

Slow Over Fast

Integration takes six to eight weeks because that is how long it actually takes.

We do not offer weekend ceremonies with no follow-up. The post-ceremony integration period, weekly check-ins, community circle, structured journaling, is built into every program. The ceremony opens something; integration is what you do with it.

What we will not do

  • We do not remarket to people who do not respond to our outreach. If you go quiet, we stop.
  • We do not use limited-time offers, countdown timers, or scarcity language to pressure enrollment.
  • We do not promise that you will heal, change, or feel better. We cannot know that, and anyone who tells you otherwise is not being honest about the work.
  • We do not share participant stories, testimonials, or personal disclosures without explicit written consent. What happens in ceremony stays in ceremony unless you choose otherwise.

How to hold us accountable, and how we hold ourselves.

If you observe a gap between these values and our actual behavior, we want to know. Write to values@ceremoniacircle.org. We read every message. We respond to every message that raises a specific concern, within five business days. If a concern requires investigation, we will say so and give you a timeline.

We publish an annual practices report each January. It covers: cohort size and screening outcomes for the prior year, indigenous recipients and amounts, any policy changes and the reasons, and a candid account of where we fell short. The report is public and linked from this page.

Accountability without consequence is just aspiration. If we consistently fail to meet a value stated here, that value will be removed from this page, not dressed up in language that obscures the gap.
